Our Story

Love The City Thrift Store was founded by Vintage Faith Church in 2019 as an extension of a community vision: to combine sustainable living with compassionate service.

Born in Culver City, the project is led by Daniel Lawrie, Executive Director, and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, local churches, and community members who share the mission of serving Culver City and greater West LA.

Our roots are in faith and service — motivated by a love for people and the belief that thrift can be both affordable and transformative.

We are on a mission to make thrifting fun, accessible, and meaningful. We believe in the power of pre-loved: good for your wallet, great for the planet, and even better for our community.

Achievements

Since opening our doors, Love The City Thrift has:

- Collected ten of thousands of donations of clothing, furniture, and household items.
- Provided affordable shopping to thousands of families in Culver City and West LA.
- Recycled and re-homed 1000's of tons of goods, keeping them out of landfills.
- Created a beloved $1 section, ensuring that even those with the tightest budgets can shop with dignity.
